Six weeks ago the our family finally landed in Togo.  We can’t begin to be able to explain to wave of emotions and thoughts that we have had in these past weeks.  We have so much for which to be thankful, and for which to praise our powerful God, and Good Shepherd!

Our first weeks in Togo we have felt a little like we had been thrown into the ocean and told to learn how to swim!  Although we had studied and learned much about life in Togo before our arrival, actually living here is a whole different challenge!  So, swim we did!  With your prayers giving us strength and keeping us going, the the guidance and practical aide of our wonderful team on the ground here in Togo, we have survived the first six weeks, and are beginning to feel a sense of comfort in these new and strange surroundings.

The first weeks living in a new country naturally present many challenges and trials. Yet, we can also see and count the blessing showered down from the hand of our Father!  And, in the midst of all the new, the strange, the scary, the things we don’t understand, the exhaustion, and even the sickness we have felt a deep sense of peace; that even though we are struggeling to learn “how to swim” here in Togo, we were made to swim here.  And, as much as a place can be home while we are on this earthy journey in a place that is not truly our home, we are confident that we are where God wants us, and so for now, we are home!

In the coming weeks, we will begin to recount for you our journey from France to Togo, as well the trials and blessings that we have experienced.  We hope that, as this will need to be our new form of communicating both stories as well as prayer needs that you will take a moment to put your e-mail address in the sign-up box to the right and follow along with us in the coming months and years and see what God does. After all, this is His work, and we are His hands, and whatever God does is always good!

Thank you for your prayers for us over the past few years as we have worked to get to Togo!  We would not be here without your support.  We are truly grateful and honored to have been chosen to serve here in Togo. To God be the glory, great things has has done, and will do, and we wouldn’t miss for the world!
